FelinFach is based in a 200 year old former flour mill in Wales. Welsh tapestry blankets, Welsh blankets, throws, scarves, hand dyed yarn with natural dye colours. Handmade Candles, Diffusers, Wax Melts and Craft Courses on Natural Dyeing Blankets and Throws Traditionally woven Welsh blankets and throws including luxurious rare breed and alpaca wool, organic certified wool and merino lambswool blankets and throws. Our Welsh blankets also include Welsh Tapestry Blankets which are woven on traditional looms and created in limited numbers with personal care and attention using the skills, methods and processes of yesteryear. Hand Dyed with Natural Dyes Our Welsh and British yarn, are hand-dyed using natural botanical plant extracts on site at our FelinFach dye studio. Our bespoke recipes include traditional and natural dye stuff such as Madder, Weld, Indigo and Logwood. Whilst botanical dye is a more time consuming option there is a beauty and depth of colour to natural dye that becomes more beautiful with age. All our hand dyed yarn, our Welsh wool, is suitable for knitting, crochet and weaving .... whatever craft that needs yarn! We also have a selection of naturally dyed silk scarves and cotton and wool scarves, and each scarf is unique. They are dyed individually and however hard we may try, they cannot be exactly replicated. This is a part of the charm in making handmade products using natural dyes. Ruanas, Shawls and Scarves A range of supersoft pure new wool and merino lambswool accessories including cushions, ruanas, scarves and purses together with silk scarves. We also have a range of gifts from handmade books and diaries. Hand Bound Books Hand bound A5 and A6 plain notebooks and journals using a variety of finishes. Choices include quality book cloth – solid colour or two-tone book cloth, naturally hand dyed Irish linen and Hand dyed Japanese Cotton book cloth. Plus hand made papers including hand marbled paper and digitally reprinted paper
