About Femke Deckers Team Coaching
The central theme in my work has always been getting to know people, understanding their drivers and their capabilities. Reaching under the surface to understand what motivates them or what’s holding them back. What do they need to thrive. Whether it was to assess a candidate for a position, reviewing internal talent, or coaching employees in their next career move – I’m driven to genuinely understand. Teams are made of individuals, all with their strengths and challenges. Add to that environment and culture and it gives a whole other dimension to the situation. As a team coach my drive is to get to know the individuals in the team and understand which powers and opportunities are present. Trust, holding each other accountable and constructive conflict are important for teamwork, however, this is not always a given and it takes effort to get to that point. I listen, ask questions and reflect - together we design the interventions needed and craft the approach. One of the tools I like to use is Insights Discovery. It’s a great tool to create awareness on individual behavior and group dynamics. It serves as a foundation to deep dive further on the relevant themes. (eg. Trust, communication, feedback, leadership) Why work with me? Working with teams has always been the thing that makes me happy. I’m genuinely convinced that doing what you love, brings out the best in you. With my experience in corporates and regulated businesses, I can quickly understand the context. No matter if you are a new manager to the team, you are scaling up your team or your team is undergoing a lot of changes, it’s valuable to take a step back to move on.
