About Femme Salée
Femme Salée (F&S) is an intersectional digital arts platform that publishes, curates, facilitates, and exchanges accessible conversations and artworks for all by feminist, queer, BIPOC, poor, and (dis)abled/crip bodymind creatives. Operating out of Denver, Colorado, we provide intimate and equitable space for collective visibility and agency through a biannual zine publication program with in-person pop-up exhibitions. We also work with exceptional and underrepresented artists to publish annual art journals and facilitate a digital salon space that encourage challenging conversations directed towards a more inclusive art world. def: femme•salée n., French, dirty or nasty woman, salty woman. A feminist, queer, & disability studies concept used to describe a person who insists on disrupting the mainstream consumption of art & culture.
