Fenny Castle Tea Rooms and Bicycle Hire is situated approximately 3 miles from Wells and Glastonbury, bordering the Somerset Levels adjacent to the River Sheppey in a stunning rural position next to the ancient Motte and Bailey of Fenny Castle. We have a large modern restaurant with great views across the Levels complete with a couple of sofas to laze on. You will often spot some of our local wildlife be it a heron, deer, fox, mallard or a swan, and, if you are lucky, an owl or sparrow hawk or even an otter on the river. There are pretty gardens in which you are welcome to sit with your cappuccino and enjoy the tranquillity. We encourage you to take your time whether you are having lunch or just an ice-cream. We aim to produce as much food as possible in our kitchen using the highest quality local ingredients. We are also very child friendly and will do our best to make you feel welcome whether it's providing milk for your child's bottle, heating up baby food or finding some crayons and paper for them to draw with. Free wi-fi is available. We offer a selection of hybrid bikes to suit all members of the family whatever their size. In addition there are various tagalongs, trailers and even a tandem for the adventurous. We supply helmets with all our bikes and it is at the hirer's discretion whether these are worn or not. All our bikes are regularly serviced and, in the unlikely event you suffer a puncture, a repair kit is supplied. We have 2 large en-suite double bedrooms and 1 small twin room en-suite available in our lovely Georgian farmhouse, all bedrooms have tea & coffee making facilities and televisions.
