FERCA – Construções Racionalizadas e Estruturas, Lisboa, Lda is an engineering company dedicated to the marketing of solutions, materials and services related to the world of civil construction. Incorporated with its current name in 1978, Ferca initially focused its activity in the area of lightening, introducing in Portugal the blocks of light concrete and subsequently the recoverable plastic moulds that are still part of the company's portfolio. In 1982 Ferca initiated, in partnership with Freyssinet, the application of post-tensioning systems in buildings, exploring an area of engineering that was at that date rather uncommon at a national and even at a European level in civil construction. The development of these activities over the years has enabled the company and its staff to work with the best designers of the country, thus drawing together unique skills that have brought significant value added to its customers, employees and partners. Characterised by its strong technical component and by a permanent spirit of collaboration with all the other participants in the search for solutions that enhance market value, the company also continues to actively pursue the introduction and development of products that combine innovation, rationalisation and know-how, leading to its current pioneering status.
