About Fernland Studios
Fernland Studios is an exploratory art studio prioritizing rest, rejuvenation, and reciprocity. We are repairing relationships with the land with art, ecology, education, and spirituality Our mission is to provide Black, Indigenous, and all people of color opportunities to sustain their relationship with the land through artist residencies, ecological arts funding, and writing retreats. Our vision is to help people process environmental-related trauma, provide a space to express ourselves through art, support non-hierarchical mentorship networks, and foster collective liberation in the Pacific Northwest. We honor caring for ourselves, more-than-humans, and the land where we live; forming a collective centered on uplifting each other; providing space for people to explore ideas, creative expression, and relationships.
