About Filament Works

Filament is a creative producing house. We bring together individuals with different skills and perspectives who are interested in nurturing vibrant and distinctive places. We look to find ways to tackle complex questions around identity and social need. We generate opportunities for artists, place-shapers and community activists to bring ideas into the real. We provide the space for creative enquiry and risk-taking, building trust to find a shared language across different people and the cultures they work within. We’re interested in multiplicity. Communities are complex, inhabited by diverse groups of people to who all do things differently. We respond to challenges as they arise, bringing together the skills of practitioners according to what’s needed: of researching, imagining, enabling, facilitating, disrupting, creating, producing and documenting.
