We are what we say we are - Films Not Words. We are here to make films we believe in, about issues and people we believe in. Founded in 2023 by BAFTA winner Helen Tither, we are a Manchester-based documentary and film production company. And, just like the Suffragette motto that inspired our name (Deeds Not Words) we are particularly passionate about improving the representation of women - both on and off screen. From broadcast documentaries to inspiring short videos, we want to work with people and organisations looking to celebrate and increase the visibility of women's stories and achievements across all platforms. We collaborate with an amazing team of experienced and skilled crew and are committed to improving opportunities and 50/50 access to the industry for northern-based talent.
