About Finding Hope
“Through my own personal and professional journey, I bring a unique perspective to my therapy practice. My husband and I experienced infertility before we adopted two wonderful children via domestic newborn adoption. Years later, we found ourselves welcoming our most unexpected biological child into our family. Having a multi-racial, multi-cultural family that includes biological and adopted children, I can relate to both the joys and challenges all of those factors bring. -Nicole Maus-Chaudhury Nicole is a Therapist and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Towson University in 1996 and a Master of Social Work with a specialization in mental health from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999. Nicole has over 10 years of experience as a therapist. Prior to going into private practice, she worked in a variety of settings with children, adolescents, and adults, including Jewish Family Services; Sinai Hospital Outpatient Psychiatry, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs, and Emergency Department; and Sheppard Pratt at Ellicott City. She has a great deal of experience helping clients with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADD/ADHD, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Nicole utilizes techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy and the psychodynamic perspective to customize her approach to each client. In addition, Nicole is specially trained in trauma therapy. She is a professional member of Resolve: The National Infertility Association, as well as the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and its Mental Health Professional Group (MHPG).
