Fine Artisan Ltd, are owners of Fine Artisan Frame Makers in London, UK. 'With our fine art backgrounds and 17 years' experience in framing, we are naturally drawn to the creative elements of picture framing. We began Fine Artisan to provide choice and a personalised, customer-focused service, as well as providing conservation framing to protect valuable art pieces over time. We are drawn to hand finishes and we offer a continually growing selection of frames and finishes. These include: Simple painted woods Paint and wash finishes Stained and waxed woods Gilding Lacquered finishes Hand finishes not only increase available options, they give our clients more control over the final result in regards to shape and colour. We also have a wide pre-finished range of mouldings, chosen primarily for their quality. Of the thousands of framing products available, we have carefully selected those for their visual quality and their conservation quality. These include: Beautifully toned cotton core mount boards Suedette and Linen covered mount boards Decorative slips for frames and mounts Sub-frames providing structural support Specialist glass (UV glass, Anti-reflective glass) As creative framers we are keen to explore the possibilities of contemporary framing which will incorporate out of the ordinary traditional elements. These include: French lines on mounts Gilded mount bevels Traditional shaped mouldings Ornamentation We believe in elegant simplicity in regards to displaying art, with precedence placed on the artwork over the frame.
