About Finneys Classic Automotive Repair Service

Born and raised in Northern Louisiana, Calvin Finney Sr. grew up working as a plantation hand. He grew up working various jobs making $2.50 a day working 12-13 hours a day. Throughout high school Calvin Finney Sr. tinkered with his first 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This fascination with automobiles, led to a life-long affinity and love for European Automobiles especially. Calvin went to Southern University and Louisiana State and studied Criminal Justice while playing college football. From College, Calvin went on to become a New Orleans Police Officer working the world famous Bourbon St. While being a patrolman in the Big Easy was a good time, Calvin wanted to pursue his true passion: European Cars. Calvin went on to working for Mercedes Benz after leaving the NOPD. He worked for Mercedes for 25 years walking in as an apprentice and leaving as a Master Technician. From there, Calvin Finney Sr. started Finney's. Finney's is the end result of a lifetime love for European Cars. Love is what makes the difference.
