About Finnish Water Forum

Finnish Water Forum (FWF) represents the whole variety of expertise in the Finnish water sector. As a joint network of the private and public water sector, it serves as a platform for cooperation of private enterprises, ministries, research and education institutes and water-related associations. Through FWF, all this expertise is compiled to efficient and comprehensive solutions for solving global water, climate and biodiversity challenges. We have over 130 member organizations, such as Kemira, Valmet, Metso-Outotec, Nokia, Abloy, Vaisala, Lamor, SYKE, Luke, VTT, GTK and FMI. Currently, we are working with the following projects: SWIM "Smart Water Management" IoT and 5G research project with Nokia, VTT and Savonia. The project was put together by FWF and funded by Business Finland and the participating companies. SPRING "Strategic Planning for water Resources and Implementation of Novel biotechnical treatment solutions and Good practices" EU Horizon 2020 research project in India Sustainable finance ecosystem pilot - climate smart water solutions, EU and Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment of Finland project DRMMS "Dam Risk Monitoring and Management System" project in China Finnish Foreign Cooperation projects (PIF) in water and waste management as well as water safety in Vietnam, Kenya and Uzbekistan Africa cooperation projects in education, water management and adaptation to climate change in Kenya, South-Africa and Egypt to reach UN Sustainable Developments Goals (SDG). www.fwf.fi
