The Fleet evaluation performance will look at recommendations in preventative maintenance policies, control over outsourced maintenance, internal and external technician certifications, physical resources and more. SCOPE Onsite fieldwork includes an examination of all functions and activities related to the fleet maintenance program as well as the fleets age and overall condition. The final report and its conclusions will be based on information taken from a sample of work order transactions, personal interviews, and an inspection of the agencies fleet facility. It can also encompass an examination of all related historical transactions and activities. FSS conducts this operation audit in accordance with generally accepted government auditing standards. Those standards require that FSS plan and perform the audit to obtain sufficient, appropriate evidence to provide a reasonable basis for the findings and conclusions based on the audit objectives.
