Since 2008, FireWise has specialized in offering consulting to the fire service in Western Canada including fire department master plans, standards of cover reports, fire apparatus specification recommendations, new fire hall public consultation and engagement as well as inspections, audits, administrative reviews, operational readiness, staffing and equipment levels. FireWise assists companies to develop and implement comprehensive fire safety plans and has hosted and facilitated several workshops, seminars and education events on a broad range of topics featuring world-renowned speakers and subject matter experts. With our team of experienced professionals, we assist communities in completing mandated fire safety inspections and have aided the judicial system by giving expert testimony and opinions on legal cases involving local governments and fire departments across Canada. Through our FireWise Learning Academy, we have developed and host several online courses including NFPA 1033 Fire Investigation Education featuring the world’s leading fire investigation expert, Dr. John DeHaan as well as The Institution of Fire Engineers Endorsed Fire Inspections for Firefighters and building owners and managers through online Building Safety Fire Prevention Training.
