About First Church SF

In ministry in the downtown Sioux Falls Area since 1871, First United Methodist Church is a congregation that is committed to make Disciples for Christ. With a membership of all ages and faith stages, First Church is an intergenerational church with a place for all God’s people. We worship in a variety of styles from contemporary to traditional, from electric guitars to our beautiful pipe organ. We sing, we speak, we pray and we join together in Holy Communion and in the Sacrament of Baptism on regular occasion. We cheerfully welcome children, families, youth, single persons and everyone else to worship with us each Sunday. There is a cry room with full view and sound of the worship service at the back of the sanctuary for families with small children. There is a nursery available as well. For those who struggle with hearing, there are individual headphones for personal use.
