About First Class Learning
First Class Learning is the largest provider of after school Maths and English tuition based in the UK. Our thriving network of after school education centres are run by independent Centre Managers (Franchisees) that use specially designed Maths and English programmes to educate children of all ages. The founders first began a pilot study of First Class Learning in 1994 when we set up our first Learning Centre. This business was (and still is) so successful that we decided to launch our Maths and English Learning system across the UK through a franchising model and First Class Learning was established in early 2005. In early 2007 we entered a rapid growth phase to drive the expansion of our franchise network throughout the UK. We now have a network of over 170 franchisees, operating over 240 study Centres across the UK. This impressive growth story has demonstrated that not only do our education programmes offer fabulous learning support that improves the outcomes for tens of thousands of children every week, but that owning an FCL franchise represents an excellent business opportunity. We are continuing to expand rapidly in the UK and now also have centres in the Republic of Ireland, Spain and the Netherlands. Following a recent Private Equity backed Management Buy-In, we have now brought in significant new investment and a strengthened management team to give new impetus to future growth. This will be driven by investing in enhancing and broadening our already excellent educational programmes, improving the support given to our Centre Managers and accessing new territories in both the UK and overseas.
