About First Hand

First Hand is a Singapore-registered society dedicated to helping vulnerable children and families in Cambodia. Since 2008 First Hand has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help children, women and families in need. First Hand is run 100% by volunteers who do not draw salaries - all funds raised go directly to our inspirational partner organizations in Cambodia: Damnok Toek and Mother’s Heart. www.damnoktoek.org www.mothersheartcambodia.org We liaise with these local centres ‘first hand’ to learn their specific needs, travel to Cambodia at our own expense and check on how projects are progressing. These service trips are a way to serve our partners through revisiting their needs and listening anew so we can understand more. We are then in a sustainable position to build awareness and be post-trip advocates for our partners. In Singapore we come up with fun and engaging fundraising events to raise awareness and as much money as we can for our partners. You can volunteer and raise funds with us to really help make a difference.
