About First Presbyterian Early Learning Center - Rogers
First Presbyterian Early Learning Center strives to be a nurturing faith-based child care facility. Our goal is to ensure every child has access to high quality care and education. We strive to meet this goal by providing direct services to children 6 weeks to 5 years of age and achieving quality standards while adhering to the Arkansas Better Beginnings initiative. At FPELC, we encourage and promote lifelong learning while ensuring our teachers and staff serve as professional mentors and leaders. Our belief is that by showing children there is fun and creativity to be had in every learning experience, they too will begin to have the same passion and enthusiasm for learning that we do! Continuity of care is one of the key strategies that FPELC maintains in order to develop strong, supportive, and respectful relationships with infants and toddlers in our program. In this approach, each child has the same primary caregiver/classroom from 6 weeks up to 18 months of age for Infant-Toddler continuity classrooms and from 18 months to 3 years of age for Toddler continuity classrooms. When children are treated with care and respect from a consistent primary caregiver they are able to form trusting human relationships that allow them to develop curiosity, courage, initiative, empathy, a sense of self, and a feeling of belonging. Our belief is that children learn best through active learning. Adventures in Learning, the FPELC curriculum, includes both teacher and child directed activities. Our goal is for each child to thrive through learning based on their own individual needs. Children are our first priority! Our promise to you is to love, nurture, and educate your child. What sets us apart? Low teacher to child ratios Smaller class sizes to allow one on one interactions Highly qualified staff Infant - Toddler Continuity Program Committed and involved Board of Directors We want to be an extension of your family.
