About First Principles Judo

First Principles Judo is dedicated to teaching concepts of physical and spiritual development that come as a result of studying the martial art of Judo. These philosophies are ever present in the writings of the great Jigoro Kano, as well as his student Kyuzo Mifune. Jigoro Kano taught that the goal of Judo was “the harmonious development and eventual perfection of the human character.” This is what we strive to achieve. At First Principles Judo, we offer classes for the entire family, including a toddler open mat for kids under the age of 6. No matter your age, skill level, or physical fitness level, we are here to teach Judo. See you on the mat!
