Founded in 1987, First Professional Services has evolved into a full service revenue cycle management company. We started with the premise that expertise and attention to detail delivers results. Our coding and auditing team has achieved many credentials, including: Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist - Physician Based (CCS-P), Radiology Certified Coder (RCC) as well as Physician Coding Specialist (PCS). Our AHIMA approved ICD-10-CM trainer offers implementation planning and training. FPS believes that getting things right the first time has never been more important. Internal auditing is done to ensure coding consistency and accuracy. Our denial mitigation program focuses on submission of accurate and compliant claims to improve revenue streams. Resulting in higher net collections and reduced days in A/R. We conduct routine internal audits of logs, data entry, payment and correspondence to ensure quality and accuracy. FPS has embraced technology since our start in 1987, allowing us to consistently outperform industry benchmarks for efficiency and financial performance. Our in-house IT team provides the know-how to work with payers, vendors and medical facilities to establish solid, consistent, timely and secure data exchanges. FPS has a robust compliance program to protect against fraud and abuse. Our employees are bound by our code of ethics, confidentiality agreement, and undergo regular compliance training. We conduct repeated monitoring of the Office of Inspector General excluded individuals/entities list. First Professional has never been excluded from participation in any federally funded health care program. Now, 27 years after we started, our commitment continues.
