About First Responder Neurofeedback

First Responder Neurofeedback, Inc. (FRN) was established to deliver neurofeedback services to First Responders. We collaborate with department leadership and human resource professionals to provide proactive neurofeedback sessions to fire, police, EMS, mental health clinics, and other first responders. By embedding neurofeedback within a national network of trained providers, FRN reduces barriers to care and promotes trust within the First Responder community. FRN provides NeurOptimal® neurofeedback training to prepare First Responders for high-stress situations and mitigate the development of mental health issues such as PTSD, anxiety, and burnout. The program also offers support for first responders' families. NeurOptimal® neurofeedback has been used for over 20 years. It is used in 75 countries, with over 2,800 sessions completed daily, and over 85,000 sessions completed monthly. In 2018, the United States FDA classified NeurOptimal® as a wellness device. The FDA designation expanded the use of NeurOptimal to enable more users without requiring a diagnosis. We provide a three-pronged approach to NeurOptimal® neurofeedback for First Responders. • Proactive Approach: Unlike other neurofeedback programs, which react to traumatic events, NeurOptimal® neurofeedback focuses on proactive preparation. • Focus on First Responders: Our organization raises funds from public and private sources to support the mental health of First Responders by providing free NeurOptimal® brain training sessions specifically tailored to their unique needs and challenges. • Support for Families: Recognizing the crucial role families play in the well-being of first responders, our organization is filling a gap in service for departments that cannot afford neurofeedback services through limited budgets or healthcare benefits, and/or are unaware of neurofeedback as a solution to help First Responders deal with trauma and stress within their roles and public interaction.
