Fischer Foods stands as a premier wholesaler, delivering the freshest fruits, vegetables, and dairy products to a diverse clientele, including restaurants, schools, farm markets, nursing homes, and grocery stores across Central Ohio and its neighboring regions. Our rich legacy dates back to the Great Depression, with Will W. Fischer cultivating vegetables near Ashville, Ohio. Venturing to Columbus to sell his produce, he eventually established his business at the historic Central Market downtown. The torch passed to the next generation as William S. Fischer joined his father, leading to the formation of Will W. Fischer and Son Co. Post-World War II, the business thrived with the addition of Harold Tosca, and by 1963, they had found a new home on East Fifth Avenue. Tim Tosca and loyal team member Mike Hayes carried on the tradition. In 2021, Dale and Debbie Chase assumed control, renaming the business Fischer Produce, and ensuring a family-oriented approach with three of their four children actively involved. Continuing its upward trajectory, Fischer Produce merged with local distributor Arena Produce in 2023. Relocating to Tony's warehouse on Reynolds Avenue, the Chases, along with Tony Arena, collaborated to seamlessly blend their expertise. Commencing January 1, 2024, Fischer Foods, boasting a combined 150 years of industry experience, remains dedicated to serving Central Ohio and beyond, upholding the highest standards of product quality and service excellence in the Columbus marketplace.
