fish4tomorrow is a Maltese campaign aiming to create a culture of environmentally sustainable fishing and fish consumption. The campaign is back by 4 local NGOS; Greenhouse Malta, Din l-Art Helwa, Sharklab Malta, and GetUpStandUp. fish4tomorrow aims to raise local consumer, restaurateur and retailer awareness on the importance of acquiring seafood from sustainable sources. It hopes to provide the tools necessary for consumers to make responsible choices that will ensure the viability of local fish stocks for generations to come. Campaign Objectives · To shift Malta’s consumption of seafood towards sustainable options through education at the point of decision making in a restaurant or market · To assist restaurants and markets to become aware of the current seafood crisis and assist them in educating their guests of sustainable options on their menus · To promote restaurants and markets that have chosen to serve sustainable seafood · To increase the demand for ocean friendly seafood in Malta · To build public support for sensible management of Malta’s fish stocks.
