About Fish & Wildlife Volunteers

Since 2016, we have certified tens of thousands of volunteer hours and tens of millions of dollars donated to fish and wildlife conservation by our membership. In addition, we have provided world-class best-practice training and support for our business members. In 2025, we shut down our “2% for Conservation Certification”, which certified both time and dollars donated to conservation, and launched our Fish & Wildlife Volunteers (FWV) program. This new program is focused exclusively on volunteered time for conservation and also opens up our training and support to individuals. We are the only conservation volunteer certification organization. Fish & Wildlife Volunteers is a program of 2% for Conservation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our Purpose: To help ordinary businesses and people do extraordinary volunteer work for wildlife and wild places. We are driven to provide opportunities to accomplish attainable good actions with your business and your personal life. Who We Serve: We are passionate about helping anyone and any business become more effective and passionate conservation volunteers. If you are a committed conservation volunteer, want to enhance your business’ “why” and how you communicate it, or are simply conservation-curious — we are here to help you. We believe that the title “conservationist” should not be gate-kept just for those who can afford support conservation work financially. Your most valuable and irreplaceable resource is your time, and you should be supported and rewarded for generously giving it for the benefit of wildlife and wild places.
