About Fit Freelancer

I help freelancers in regaining fitness, starting with myself. I am a freelance Polish translator and it has been my main occupation since 2006. I write more about my freelance work on my other site ConsultingTranstator.com. I have no intention of turning fitness into a new career, I simply want to become fit enough that problems with health do not not prevent me from work and from living life to its fullest. I would like to stress that I have absolutely no official qualifications in the field of fitness or nutrition. It may not sound very encouraging to following my efforts but I have a few strong points. The fist strong point is how average I am. I work full time as a freelancer while being a father of four boys between ages 7 and 15. My life is not centered around fitness, any efforts to improve my form are undertaken on the fringes of other obligations. Altogether it means that I am pretty down to earth person and if I achieve even some degree of success, most likely you can achieve it too. My other advantage flows from over a decade of experience in failing to achieve my fitness goals. It means that I have already worked out quite a few ways of how not to pursue fitness. Finally I have a long history of problems with the back pain, which culminated in several weeks of crippling pains in 2018 and several months of confinement to bed in 2020. Especially this last period of sciatica, when I learned that I have severe herniation of a disk, qualify for a back surgery and possibly will never run again made me think. It became clear that if I want to keep working and remain a role model for my four sons I must change a lot. On this page I will record some of the lessons I have learned in the meantime and my attempts to implement them in the future.
