About Fitgas

Formby Industrial Training was set up by Paul Edward Bryan in 1996 to serve the Industry Training requirements laid down under ACOP’s by CORGI and the HSE. Paul Edward Bryan ran ‘P.E.Bryan Plumbing and Heating’ which operated in the commercial and domestic contracting sectors for over 20 years. The Accredited Certification Scheme came into force in 1998 and replaced the existing Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) scheme. This has changed the way individuals are assessed. The principal changes are Certification of individuals, Separation of assessment from training, Standards of assessment, Registration requirements for individuals and gas installer businesses. In April 2000 ‘FITGAS LTD’ was formed and gained ISO 9000 accreditation and has taken over from Formby Industrial Training as a training and assessment centre. We understand the needs of contractors with regard to ACS training/assessments and offer a no nonsense approach to the industries needs. Fitgas offers flexibility in training and assessment packages ‘made to measure’ for the client. A variety of attendance modes are available including daytime, evenings and weekend provision. The centre has a policy of providing a service that matches the needs of the industry and individuals. All of our training staff are experienced in successfully developing the skills of candidates. In 2013 Fitgas Ltd became a Green Deal Provider and has been working successfully in the Eco Brokerage (ECO Energy Companies Obligation) and The Green Deal
