Financial Innovation in Transactions & Security (FITS) are an independent non-profit organisation with a simple vision: we want to stop money from payment fraud going to criminals. We want to fight using the latest technology and research to dramatically cut fraud and we want to do this with you. Right now, payment card fraud will exceed $15bn in 2015 and is forecast to grow to over $30bn per year by 2020. Everything that has already been put in place by you and your colleagues to prevent and detect fraud and yet it continues to grow putting this cash into the hands of criminals. We are actively seeking professional members to join FITS. FITS founding team include the University of Surrey in the UK to ensure we are able to deliver cross-disciplinary research and development; this includes a strong collaboration with GCHQ and the Surrey Centre for Cyber Security. FITS is now establishing relationships with the card schemes, consultancies, industry bodies and forums, think-tanks, regulators, law enforcement and government agencies. We work with policy makers in all areas to encourage a climate favorable to our members and society. Together we can disrupt the way that fraud is managed and disrupt the way that criminals abuse your payment systems.
