five one two was formed in August 2008 as an ecommerce and web development consultancy offering a specialist user centred design approach. We offer full services in the following areas: - Web based software - E-commerce - Mobile - Financial markets We saw a gap in the market for a provider of enterprise grade systems with a focus on the user experience. Something we believe was not being offered elsewhere. We’d also experienced first-hand the limitations and hidden costs associated with off the shelf products so saw the need for bespoke solutions that would be more cost effective than the competition. There are many design agencies that are capable of delivering a good creative product and many software houses that are capable of delivering a strong technology product. The problem is that the creative product compromises on technology and the technology product compromises on creativity and user experience. What five one two are able to offer is the fusion of these two disparate solutions, the perfect blend of creativity, user experience and technology. Our people are our strength and our development centre offers over 60 software engineers and creative staff of multi-discipline. Our technology agnostic approach means that we are not tied to any one language and are able to utilise the most appropriate technology for your requirements. Primarily for business critical enterprise systems we offer senior Java development and architecture skills, with staff qualified in programmer and developer Java certifications from Sun Microsystems. We also develop and support Microsoft .NET platforms along with web technologies such as PHP, ASP and Rails. We also specialise in application development on emerging technologies such as iPhone, Facebook, OpenSocial and other collaborative social and business networking platforms. Academic qualifications range from first degree, through to post-graduate PhD in mathematics and science disciplines.
