FivePeaks helps clients navigate a world in which geopolitics increasingly shapes public policy and business outcomes. It offers geopolitical advisory services, helping business executives understand the implications of geopolitical developments and policy shifts on business. This takes the form of ad-hoc briefings, research notes, or explainers. Second, it blends editorial craft with geoeconomic depth to help understand the implications of global developments and write about them. It works with individuals and businesses to develop sharper judgement and refine communication. It equips clients with practical writing techniques through a well-defined, modular course. The course, focused on geopolitics, economics, policy and business, examines critical themes in these areas, and helps participants write better, authoritative narratives. FivePeaks is founded by Siddharth Poddar, who combines two decades of experience working at the intersection of economics, finance and geopolitics, with a network of trusted experts to across Asia to lean on for intelligence that matters. Siddharth is a former financial journalist and co-founder of the editorial consultancy StoneBench. Over the past 20 years, he has worked with banks, MNCs, multilaterals, consulting firms and public policy firms in Asia, getting a ringside view of how macro trends shape business. A few of these include The Economist Group, Visa, KPMG, DBS Bank, Oliver Wyman, Asian Development Bank, Financial Times, INSEAD, EuroCham, Enterprise Singapore, and Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry. He has also coached several senior economists across Asia through a writing coaching programme, curated to the needs of economists’ distinct writing styles and proficiency. Siddharth has a Master’s in Globalisation and Development from the School or Oriental and African Studies, and Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science from Singapore Management University.
