South Africa is a beautiful country but it can also be dangerous. The stats don’t lie: hijackings, muggings, sexual harassment bullying, and toxic workplaces are everyday realities. We saw too many people, women, children, and even men, living in fear, unsure of how to protect themselves or speak up for their safety. So we decided to do something about it. FLAG Academy was born from our shared passion for empowerment, prevention, and education. What started as a women’s self-defense program has grown into something bigger – a full-spectrum empowerment based safety training company offering: Empowerment Self-Defense – teaching women, men and children how to recognize danger, avoid threats, and physically defend themselves if needed. Psychological Safety Training for Workplaces – helping businesses create conflict-free, inclusive, and high-trust environments that retain talent and help sustain their competitive edge. Anti-Bullying Workshops for Schools – equipping students and teachers with proactive strategies to stop bullying before it escalates. Our goal is simple: to help people, businesses, and schools create environments where fear doesn’t win because when people feel safe, they thrive.
