About Flames Sports Bank

A KidSport Calgary Program, gathering, recycling and distributing sports equipment to ensure all kids have the opportunity to participate. Our Mission Ensure that every child in Southern Alberta has an equal opportunity to play sports by providing them with the appropriate sporting equipment for no cost. About Us The Calgary Flamed Sports Bank is a volunteer-based charity that provides no cost, gently used equipment to qualified children (18 and under) from low income families. We accept donated, gently used equipment from the community. It is then cleaned, inventoried and readied for provision to qualified children. Our service area includes all of Southern Alberta, with our office and distribution center being located in Calgary. Comrie's Sports Bank was created in 2014 through the generous contributions of Bill Comrie and the Comrie Family. The Comrie’s are the title sponsor of the initiative. In 2019, we joined fores with KidSport Calgary & Area to better service our community! Formed via a partnership of individuals representing key community groups – the Hockey Canada Foundation, the Hockey Alberta Foundation, Hockey Calgary, Sport Calgary, the Calgary Flames Foundation, the Western Hockey League, Calgary Hitmen and KidSport Calgary.
