About Flash Art

Flash Art is a seasonal magazine and publishing platform dedicated to contemporary art, exploring the evolving cultural landscape through the work of leading artists, writers, curators and others. One of Europe’s oldest art magazines, Flash Art was founded in Rome in 1967, before relocating to Milan in 1971, and was originally bilingual, published in both Italian and English. In 1978 two separate editions were launched: Flash Art International and Flash Art Italia. Today the magazine remains one of the most recognizable and widely read publications of its kind, and is distributed in 87 countries. Additionally to the print format, Flash Art is available also in digital format. Flash Art’s websites www.flash--art.com and www.flash---art.it: the magazine’s online platform, maintaining the vibrancy and depth of the print editions, but also featuring news, extra reviews, and responsive commentary by a group of editors and contributors located around the world. Thanks to its responsive and flexible design, the website adapts to all types of device and screen resolution. Over the coming years Flash Art intends to publish its entire archive online, giving readers and researchers access to the largest contemporary art archive online, spanning over 45 years of history.
