About Flatlands Insurance Group

Flatlands Insurance Group was previously known as Coastal Insurance Service, LLC and Carowan-Allen Insurance Agency, Inc. The business was started by Paige and Read’s dad, R. H. Allen, Jr., and has been a leading health and life agency for over 40 years. In 2015, we added the P&C and crop divisions, along with a new partner, Michael G. Lee, to meet the changing needs of our clients, while looking toward a future of growth and expansion. With our new lines of business, along with additional experienced staff and a second location, it was decided that we also needed a new name to tie it all together. So in September of 2015 we became Flatlands Insurance Group. We invite you to become a part of our family. Come grow with us!
