About Flo-culture
Flo-culture specialises in helping museums & heritage settings enhance their visitor experience & interpretation offer with mobile, AR & proximity engagement technologies. When Flo-culture was founded in 2012, we focused on using the team's expertise to support cultural sector organisations in tackling challenges and making the most of opportunities. Then, in response to the difficulties we had delivering a digital access programme with a third-party digital agency, we decided to bring digital work in-house and shifted our focus accordingly. With fellow director Andre Esteves's support and expertise, we have taken Flo-culture on many journeys, but now we have found our place, focus, and future pathway. Our newly developed Gamified AR Quest Platform, backed by Innovate UK, makes it easier and more affordable for museums and heritage sites to create immersive augmented reality quest experiences. Not only do these experiences receive positive feedback from visitors, but they can also be used to boost on-site revenues and encourage repeat visits. This is a great new product, and we are excited about rolling it out into the market. Along with two other beautifully designed digital interpretation applications, we look forward to enjoying sharing and deploying these visitor engagement tools with teams and visitors in museums and heritage settings across the UK and beyond. Using new technologies to increase and diversify their audiences, improve engagement, educational and advocacy impacts, and increase revenues is not new. But making the application of these new technologies accessible to most arts and heritage organisations is. Making products affordable and easy to deploy reduces the main barriers to mainstream adoption. This is our mission, and this is what we do.
