Flood Sentry was designed in response to the increasingly widespread problem of pin-hole leaks in home plumbing systems. Existing water detection and flood prevention systems were bulky and incompatible with home security systems. Most importantly, these systems did not eliminate residual water in the pipes after shutoff, which can leave dozens of additional gallons of water to continue to leak out of the pipes and do further damage to the home. Flood Sentry takes flood prevention to the next level; it is the most comprehensive leak detection and flood prevention system on the market today. Flood Sentry can be installed as a complete stand-alone system or as an add-on to an existing DSC home alarm system. It consists of small wireless water sensors, a flow monitor, a patented control module and a special 3-way electric valve. It effectively detects water leaks, automatically shuts off the water supply, releases the pressure in the pipes and drains the residual water to the outside of the home. Without this crucial feature, the remaining water in your pipes would still be under pressure and continue to flood your home, causing additional damage. Water damage to your home from a leaking pipe can now be greatly minimized and in some cases eliminated entirely! Our system uses only proven components and technology from TYCO and our valve is manufactured for us by one of the best companies in the industry. Our patented Flood Sentry control module is manufactured in-house, using only the finest U.S. made circuitry and components.
