Florida Accelerator delivers education, mentoring, and communications services to entrepreneurs. The company's mission is to accelerate revenue growth and increase profits for small and medium-sized businesses. The secret sauce is executive mentoring provided by senior and retired executives who call Florida their winter home. The mentors focus on the three 'M's -- Marketing, Management, and Money. In addition to team mentoring (multiple mentors for one entrepreneur) Florida Accelerator provides education Forums -- high powered programs with leading experts leading interactive programs. There are also roundtables with an emphasis on addressing common business problems and creating a strong business community. Emphasizing disciplined business planning, there are Shark Tanks and regional Business Plan Competitions that put entrepreneurs before prospective investors and the business community to sell their companies and their approaches to success. In the 2014 regional competition, five of the six finalists were Florida Accelerator companies. There is a strong initiative to provide special services to veteran entrepreneurs and their companies. Veterans Pathway, a pioneering initiative, partners with Florida Accelerator to ensure the best delivery of education, mentoring, and grants for veteran entrepreneurs. Students are also a special category receiving support in the form of entrepreneurial education and mentoring. Mentors find a value proposition in 'giving back' and participating with growth companies in a dynamic marketplace. Exciting companies are being funded and mentored -- building the business community and creating new jobs. There are openings for mentors and entrepreneurs.
