About Florida Securities Dealers and Advisors Association
Founded in 1933, the Florida Securities Dealers and Advisors Association (FSDA) is one of the oldest and largest state securities associations in the nation. The FSDA’s members represent a broad spectrum of the securities industry in Florida and include broker-dealers, investment advisors, investment bankers, mutual fund companies, insurance companies, financial services companies, and law and accounting firms. FSDA members include national, regional, and state-wide firms. Since 1933, FSDA has been the voice of the securities industry in Florida. It is our mission to advocate on behalf of the industry and provide education opportunities for our members and Florida's investing public. The FSDA monitors Florida's Capitol throughout the year to keep members apprised of the key legislative and regulatory developments that affect the securities industry in Florida. During regular and special sessions of the Florida Legislature, the Association lobbies on behalf of the industry to oppose legislation hostile to the interests of the securities industry and to support favorable legislation. In regulatory matters, the FSDA's working relationship with the Florida Office of Financial Regulation provides an open channel of communication between state securities regulators and the industry on issues ranging from licensing to the OFR's annual legislative agenda. Membership in the FSDA is open to any firm or individual engaged in the securities business in Florida, subject to approval by the Board of Governors of the FSDA. For further information regarding membership and sponsorship opportunities, please contact the FSDA at jacqueline.farina@fsda.org or visit FSDA.org
