About Flourish Mentors
"Making sure no young woman is invisible" Our mental health mentoring registered charity (1197095) offers free support to young women aged 16-25 years (LGBTQIA + inclusive) in Brighton and Hove. Our support includes: *1-1 matched well-being mentoring/befriending in the community (typically 2 years free to the young woman and once a fortnight) *free well-being workshops in schools and local community organisations *Professional free mentoring for 6 months in the community We are always looking for women who would like to become mentors as we match them to one young woman and we support their fortnightly coffee shop chats centred on the young woman’s well-being and mental health needs. No therapy background needed--just a listening ear! We are a light touch intervention which hopes to prevent and help a lot of the “invisible” young woman who fall in the cracks as they are not so distressed that other services address their needs. We are totally free to mentees, schools and organisations as we are grant based! Our aim is to co-create with the mentees and mentors and we are passionate about helping as many young women to thrive and flourish!
