Meet Alex Jeffares, Director, Fluent Horizons Alex Jeffares is a language consultant specialising in French and Arabic, with over 15 years’ experience in language tuition and curriculum design. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Arabic, French, Politics and International Relations, and an Advanced Certificate in Arabic from the Sultan Qaboos College for Teaching Arabic to Non-native Speakers, Oman. He is also a corporate lawyer (Juris Doctor, Sydney Law School), bringing analytical precision and clear communication to his teaching. He has taught French and Arabic at community colleges and universities, including Melbourne University’s Second Language Acquisition Program (French) and the Parramatta College's Arabic course, and directed the annual “Opening the Door to the Arab World” event at the Asia Institute, Melbourne University. Alex has been recognised with the Melbourne Global Languages Scholarship (Arabic) and the Nicolas Baudin Scholarship (French), and has appeared as a guest speaker on Australia's SBS Arabic Radio. Alex’s approach combines deep cultural understanding with practical language application, helping students and professionals unlock their full language potential.
