About Focus on Mediterranean Wildlife

FoMW is an organisation that works on programmes of tourism development devoted to natural patrimony, and at the same time, ensures its conservation. Our main objectives are: - turn the natural and cutural values of the valley into economical evolution for the inhabitants of the area. - show from very close and give the chance to photograph the four European scavengers; Lammergeier, Black, Aegyptian and Griffon vulture. - take you around the mountain of Alinyà to enjoy of the several activities that can be done. Working together with the local people, the experience in Alinyà becomes a real contribution to the development of the local growth in all fields: - Lodging: the programmes of FoMW lodge their guests on the local hotels. - Meals: all meals are prepared by local restaurants that only cook traditional dishes on the original method, always using fresh and season products of the area. - Vultures: thanks to the respect for nature of the inhabitants, the mountain range stays exclusive due to the presence of the four European vulture species. - Hiking and Birding: today’s landscapes and biodiversity of the area are consequences of their, and their ancestors, relationship with nature, what gives us the privilege to share it with others. - Transport: used to live in a remote location, the locals offer also a taxi service, which is needed, and thus used, on our photography programs.
