About FocusPsychology
FocusPsychology provides educational settings (mainstream, specialist and residential) with psychological support to develop trauma informed approaches and inclusive, solution focused SEND & Pastoral Care strategies. Through our embedded approach we focus on building capacity and resilience over time. We also provide Local Authorities a psychological formulation and therapeutic repair service for adopted children, children in care and those under child protection and asylum seekers/refugees. We focus on the life journey and cultural narrative and on identifying and assessing areas of need that have not previously been explored. We facilitate the strengthening of the support web around the child or young person through systemic trauma informed approaches. We provide training, coaching and clinical supervision to practitioners at all levels involved in the care, education and support of children and young people exhibiting trauma and SEMH needs. Our primary approach to this work is solution focused, strengths based and culture aware.
