About Folkstars
Non-profit school music provider based in Bristol. Setup to give more kids the chance to have fun playing music together. We offer free instruments, affordable tuition and engaging sessions that mix instrumental learning with dance and song. Our regular performances aim to build confidence, community and a lifelong love of music. “It’s such a brilliant opportunity to get kids into music” – Year 5 parent Our experienced DBS checked music tutors are passionate about creating joyful and inclusive experiences for budding musicians. We currently work with KS1 and KS2 at primary schools in the south west, providing tuition during the school day and at after school clubs. Our syllabus is based around performances at regular themed events throughout the year including Scottish tunes and songs for Burns Night, Irish repertoire for St Patrick’s Day, old time / Bluegrass for a U.S. themed Hoedown Ceilidh and sea shanties for the Pirate Ceilidh. UP THE FOLKSTARS!
