About Follow the Bear ® - The National Lost Child Safety Scheme
Follow the Bear ® - Lost Child Trail and Lost Child Wristbands- are child safety products for when a child gets lost or separated from their Parent/Guardian, whilst out in public anywhere in the UK, Ireland and South Africa - In other words, an unfamiliar surrounding for the child. The Follow the Bear ® - New National Lost Child Safety Scheme launched last year and now our installation teams are busy installing the Follow the Bear ® - Lost Child Trails around various Shopping Centres, Amusement/Theme Parks, Activity Farms, Zoos/Safari Parks, Holiday Parks and Resorts in the UK, Ireland and South Africa. How does Follow the Bear ® work? When a child gets lost they simply 'Follow the Bear ® - Lost Child Trail' signs which has our Freddie Bear design on, he has directional arrows on his tummy which enables the child to find their way to a ‘Safety Station’. Once they get there, the member of staff can look at the Follow the Bear ® - Lost Child Wristband and call the Parent/Guardian mobile number that is written on the wristband and inform them that their child has been found and is being kept safe at the ‘Safety Station’ and where it is. Each participating facility can offer Follow the Bear ® - Lost Child Wristbands to their Customers/Visitors free of charge and these can be issued by either your Ticket Office/Receptionist, Security Staff or Cleaners; or obtained from wristband dispensers that can be installed at the entrances and an A2 or A1 info graphic board with animated characters demonstrating how the scheme works can be provided along with a disclaimer notice. (details can be provided upon request) Positive feedback has been received from participating facilities about Parents and Children identifying with Freddie Bear and the Follow the Bear - Lost Child Trails; and the children that have been lost are following the trail to a ‘Safety Station.’ 'A Simple Solution to a Stressful Ordeal'
