Elle soutient la réalisation de projets concrets portés par ou pour les jeunes Européens dans tous les domaines qui permettent le dialogue et le partage au service d’une citoyenneté européenne commune : culture, éducation, social et humanitaire. Ainsi, Hippocrène permet aux jeunes de réaliser leurs projets pour l’Europe et de créer une communauté d’Européens. Depuis sa création la Fondation Hippocrène a soutenu environ 1000 projets associatifs au bénéfice direct de plus de 150.000 jeunes ayant touché plus de 8 millions de personnes à travers les media et les réseaux sociaux. The Hippocrene Foundation is a state-approved independent family foundation whose main purpose is « to Live Europe » by developing tighter connections between young Europeans. The Foundation provides financial support to non-profit projects in various domains: culture and education as well as humanitarian and social action. Complementarily, the Hippocrene Foundation fosters meetings between young Europeans from different networks and backgrounds. In order to broaden the range of its activities, the Hippocrene Foundation has created the "Circle of Hippocrene's Friends" and has become a sheltering Foundation. Finally, as teaching about Europe, mobility, exchanges and common projects are the best means for young people to gain a sense of belonging to a common body and to awaken their sense of European citizenship, the Foundation rewards committed citizens in that field with different prizes every year.
