About Fondazione Comitans

The topic of the nutrition of children in their first 1000 days of life, from conception to their second birthday, is the important social challenge on which we have chosen to focus. Our project "Primi 1000 Giorni" (First 1000 Days) aims at investigating the impact that food has, both on the psychophysical wellbeing and growth of children, and on the development of joint actions for healthier and more sustainable agri-food systems. “By feeding today’s children we write the health of tomorrow’s adults”. Promoting an integrated and interdisciplinary approach on the topic of food and nutrition impacts both the quality of the produced and distributed food, and the knowledge of what we as conscious consumers put on the tables. Our commitment is to create meeting opportunities for various stakeholders (institutions, companies, non-profit organizations) on shared topics, in order to build long-term projects to promote and pursue the knowledge and awareness of the common good, focusing on the protection of the human being.
