About Fondazione Italia Uganda

Fondazione Italia Uganda nasce nel 2000 per sostenere l’opera di padre Giovanni “John” Scalabrini, missionario cattolico che ha vissuto in Uganda per oltre 50 anni, dedicando tutta la sua vita a sostegno del popolo ugandese. Dopo la sua scomparsa, avvenuta nell’ottobre del 2016, la Fondazione continua la sua opera seguendo lo stile da lui stesso indicato: investire sull’edu- cazione dei più giovani così che la comunità possa nel tempo raggiungere una propria autonomia. La nostra mission: “Continuare l’opera di padre Giovanni Scalabrini in Uganda creando comunità forti, responsabili e autonome grazie ai suoi giovani”. La Fondazione ha oggi sede a Milano e a Kampala.
