About Food Equity Collaborative

The Food Equity Collaborative (FEC) is a nonprofit organization committed to building a more just, resilient, and community-centered food system. We believe that everyone, regardless of income, background, or zip code, deserves access to fresh, healthy, and culturally relevant food. FEC is proud to serve as the nonprofit partner of Equiti Foods, a mission-driven social enterprise that supports regional food economies by sourcing from local farmers and producers. Together, we work toward a shared vision: to make nutritious food more accessible and affordable while supporting the communities and producers that grow and distribute it. We are currently in the process of shaping our direct programs and identifying the most effective ways to advance food equity. While this work evolves, we are enthusiastic about building partnerships with community organizations, health professionals, food access advocates, local growers, schools, researchers, and other stakeholders who share our values. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do. We believe meaningful and lasting change happens when we listen to communities, uplift local voices, and share resources to address systemic barriers. Whether supporting food-as-medicine initiatives, increasing access to local food, or amplifying education around nutrition and food justice, we are here to help build bridges and open doors.
