About Foodbank & NT
Foodbank is the largest food relief organisation in South Australia and the Northern Territory. We are an intermediary between the food industry's surplus food and the welfare sectors needs. Our mission is to deliver nutritious, healthy food to individuals and families experiencing hardship across metro, rural and regional areas in South Australia. Last year we provided more than 10.2 million meals through our Food Hubs, a network of 700+ charities and support programs and in more than 550 school programs reaching those who otherwise would go without. We are a non-profit, non-denominational organisation part of a national group of Foodbanks, operating in New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland, Tasmania and Northern Territory.
