Dr. Gideon J. Lewis is a renowned sports medicine lower extremity specialist, well known for working with professional to everyday athletes in his Central Florida headquartered office. He is double Board Certified in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle and Foot Surgery. As a former Division 1 collegiate athlete, Dr. Lewis has a passion for athletics and routinely treats current and former professional athletes from the NBA, NFL, MLB, X-Games, and Olympics. Dr. Lewis is a proud Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and he completed his Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency at Florida Hospital with extensive training in Advanced Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. Lewis earned his Doctorate degree at the California College of Podiatric Medicine, training at the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine teaching hospitals. He is a proud University of Central Florida (UCF) alumnus, having earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Microbiology there. Community involvement is a cornerstone of Dr. Lewis’ success. He is a Clinical Professor with the Florida State University College of Medicine and an Assistant Professor with the UCF College of Medicine and has provided keynote addresses for groups as large at 10,000. He is the founder and Director for the UCF Pre-Medical Surgical Internship Program and trains surgical residents as an attending physician for Florida Hospital’s Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency program.
