Welcome to the Foot & Hand Spa, Richmond’s only medical spa that focuses on hands and feet. We’re located on the Johnston-Willis Campus of CJW Medical Center! The Foot & Hand Spa offers medical-grade pedicures and manicures. A medical-grade pedicure emphasizes overall foot health as well as aesthetics. Our clinicians use only medical-grade skincare products. A medical-grade pedicure can remove (or soften) hard skin, preventing discomfort that may limit your mobility and keep you from doing the activities you enjoy. Pedicures also help keep your nails healthy. Good foot hygiene helps prevent many foot-related ailments, such as ingrown toenails and fungal infections. At the Foot & Hand Spa, a licensed professional will pamper your feet under the supervision of a Board Certified podiatrist. A standard medical-grade pedicure takes about 45 minutes and includes a foot and leg massage. Our massage therapist is also trained in Reflexology. If you’ve ever considered this treatment to relieve stress, you’re in luck! According to the Environmental Protection Agency, outbreaks of skin infections on the legs and feet following spa pedicures have caused concern about spa safety. At the Foot & Hand Spa, we use EPA-registered hospital disinfectants and our sanitation procedures meet or exceed OSHA standards. In fact, our instruments are sterilized using the same techniques a hospital uses to sterilize surgical instruments.
